Amcor's latest reported figures next to the median of the other 24 S&P 500 Materials companies and of the other 502 S&P 500 companies; each median is taken over the companies with a comparable figure (counts in the footnote). A median is the middle value, not an average, so one very large company does not move it.

Amcor: fiscal year ended June 2026, from its 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC. Medians computed October 20, 2026 from each company's latest annual filing (fiscal years ending between July 2025 and September 2026) and our price archive. Prices for every company, Amcor included, are the last regular-session prices of October 19, 2026; the 1-year change compares that price with each company's last close on or before October 20, 2025. Net margin and price change are our calculations from reported figures. Each median counts only the companies with a comparable figure (sector / S&P 500): revenue growth 24/496, net margin 24/496, dividend per share 23/349, 1-year price change 24/490; the reasons below can overlap. 12 are left out of the price figure because our archive holds no comparable close for them; dividend medians are among the 23 sector and 349 S&P 500 companies reporting a per-share dividend. The S&P 500 price figure is the middle company's change, not the index's return.

Company profile

Amcor plc, a public limited company incorporated under the laws of the Bailiwick of Jersey with principal executive offices at 83 Tower Road North, Warmley, Bristol, United Kingdom, describes itself in its Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026 as the global leader in developing and producing responsible primary consumer packaging and dispensing solutions across a variety of materials for nutrition, health, beauty and wellness categories. Its ordinary shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AMCR and its CHESS Depositary Instruments on the Australian Securities Exchange under the symbol AMC; 462,345,690 shares were issued and outstanding on August 12, 2026 (10-K cover). The 10-K reports approximately 75,000 employees globally at June 30, 2026, including part-time and temporary workers, and two reportable segments, Global Flexible Packaging Solutions and Global Rigid Packaging Solutions.

On April 30, 2025 Amcor completed its merger with Berry Global Group, Inc., which the 10-K describes as a global manufacturer of rigid and flexible packaging products; under the merger agreement Berry shareholders received 7.25 Amcor ordinary shares for each share of Berry common stock. The 10-K gives the purchase consideration as $10.4 billion, not including Berry debt assumed by Amcor of approximately $5.2 billion. On January 14, 2026 Amcor effected a 1-for-5 reverse stock split, and the 10-K's MD&A says all prior year ordinary share and per share amounts have been retroactively adjusted to reflect it. On May 1, 2026 its board acted to change the fiscal year end from June 30 to December 31: Amcor plans to report the six-month transition period of July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 on a Transition Report on Form 10-K/T, after first filing a Form 10-Q for the quarter ending September 30, 2026 (10-K, Item 1).

Net sales were $23,506 million in fiscal year 2026, against $15,009 million in fiscal year 2025 and $13,640 million in fiscal year 2024 (10-K). The 10-K says that, excluding the increase of sales from the Merger, net of divestments, of approximately $7,864 million, positive currency impacts of approximately $649 million and positive impacts from the pass-through of higher raw material costs of approximately $240 million, the remaining variation in net sales for fiscal year 2026 was a decrease of approximately $260 million or 2%, primarily reflecting lower sales volume. Operating income was $1,899 million, against $1,009 million, and net income attributable to Amcor plc was $1,106 million, against $511 million. In the EPS note, net income available to ordinary shareholders of Amcor plc was $1,106 million, or $2.38 per diluted share, against $510 million, or $1.60, in fiscal year 2025. Net cash provided by operating activities was $2,151 million and dividends paid were $1,195 million.

In its August 12, 2026 release Amcor reported fiscal year 2026 adjusted EBITDA of $3,673 million and adjusted diluted EPS of $4.02, both non-GAAP measures. For the transition period ending December 31, 2026 it expects Adjusted EPS of approximately $1.80 to $1.90 and leverage on December 31, 2026 of 3.5x - 3.6x, with leverage calculated as Net Debt divided by LTM Adjusted EBITDA plus share-based compensation; the release says the outlook does not take into account the impact of potential portfolio optimization actions not announced to date and contemplates a range of factors, including ongoing geopolitical developments (company projections, non-GAAP). Peter Konieczny, Chief Executive Officer (Principal Executive Officer), and Stephen R. Scherger, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (Principal Financial Officer), certified the 10-K (Exhibits 31.1 and 31.2).
