DalsnaFinance › About
Dalsna Finance (dalsnafin.com) is a US finance-news and market-data site. It puts market news from other publishers in one place, each story credited to the outlet that reported it, next to reference pages and data that the site compiles itself.
The analyst price-target tracker is our own work. We record the stock price targets that research firms publish, as reported in the news, with a link to the report for each one. Every target is followed to the date it was set for and judged once, against the closing price on that date (or the last close before it, when the market was shut), under rules written down before any result is known. How it works is set out on the methodology page, and the data is free to reuse under CC BY 4.0.
Members can also post their own stock calls, which appear on their scorecards. Those calls are the members' own, not ours.
Headlines and summaries come from other publishers' public feeds and link back to the original story whenever the feed gives an address on the publisher's own site. IPO pages are compiled from SEC filings, the financial statements on company pages come from the companies' SEC filings, and commodity price histories come from Yahoo Finance; each of these pages names its source. Our tax and benefits reference pages restate figures published by agencies such as the IRS and the Social Security Administration, with the date we last checked them.
Nothing here is investment advice. The site reports what others published and what happened afterwards; it doesn't tell anyone what to buy or sell.
Questions, corrections and requests to reuse the data go to dalsnafinance@gmail.com. See our editorial standards and contact page.
