From Autodesk's 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC; its fiscal year ends in January. Each period shows the latest figure the company has reported for it, including restatements. Net margin is our own calculation from those reported figures (net income ÷ revenue); it is left blank where revenue is zero or missing. † Quarter derived from the company's year-to-date or full-year totals. Autodesk's latest reported figures next to the median of the other 75 S&P 500 Information Technology companies and of the other 502 S&P 500 companies; each median is taken over the companies with a comparable figure (counts in the footnote). A median is the middle value, not an average, so one very large company does not move it.

Autodesk: fiscal year ended January 2026, from its 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC. Medians computed October 20, 2026 from each company's latest annual filing (fiscal years ending between July 2025 and September 2026) and our price archive. Prices for every company, Autodesk included, are the last regular-session prices of October 20, 2026; the 1-year change compares that price with each company's last close on or before October 20, 2025. Net margin and price change are our calculations from reported figures. Each median counts only the companies with a comparable figure (sector / S&P 500): revenue growth 75/496, net margin 75/496, 1-year price change 67/488; the reasons below can overlap. 14 are left out of the price figure because our archive holds no comparable close for them. The S&P 500 price figure is the middle company's change, not the index's return.
Autodesk, Inc. is an American multinational software corporation that provides software products and services for the architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, media, education, and entertainment industries. Autodesk is headquartered in San Francisco, California, and has offices worldwide. Its U.S. offices are located in the states of California, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Michigan, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Its Canadian offices are located in the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia.
Autodesk, Inc., incorporated in Delaware and headquartered in San Francisco, California, describes itself in its annual report for fiscal 2026 (Form 10-K) as a global leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment technology solutions. Its fiscal year ends January 31: fiscal 2026 ended January 31, 2026. The 10-K lists its product offerings under four headings: Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operations (AECO); AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT; Manufacturing; and Media and Entertainment. It also reports revenue as Design (maintenance, product subscriptions and all enterprise business agreements), Make (certain cloud-based product subscriptions) and Other (consulting, training and other products and services). It employed approximately 14,300 people as of January 31, 2026, a decrease from approximately 15,300 at the end of fiscal 2025 (10-K). Its common stock trades on Nasdaq under the symbol ADSK (10-K cover).
For fiscal 2026 the consolidated statements of operations report total net revenue of $7,206 million, compared with $6,131 million in fiscal 2025, income from operations of $1,578 million and net income of $1,124 million, or $5.23 per diluted share. The 10-K says total net revenue was $7.21 billion, an increase of 18% compared to the prior fiscal year, and that remaining performance obligations were $8.30 billion. Net cash provided by operating activities was $2,452 million, and Autodesk spent $1,402 million on the repurchase and retirement of common stock. At January 31, 2026 total assets were $12,467 million and total stockholders' equity was $3,045 million, and the 10-K says Autodesk had $2.50 billion of principal debt, consisting of notes due at various times from June 2027 to June 2035.
Autodesk sells directly and through a network of approximately 1,170 resellers and distributors. The 10-K says approximately 37% of its revenue in fiscal 2026 was derived from indirect channel sales, against approximately 58% in fiscal 2025, and that its largest distributor, TD Synnex, accounted for 14%, 33% and 39% of net revenue in fiscal 2026, 2025 and 2024. Under what it calls its new transaction model, Solution Providers provide a quote to customers but the actual transaction occurs directly between Autodesk and the customer. International net revenue was 64% of net revenue in both fiscal 2026 and 2025 (10-K).
According to its 10-Q for the quarter ended July 31, 2026 (unaudited), the second quarter of fiscal 2027, total net revenue was $2,046 million, compared with $1,763 million a year earlier, and net income was $492 million, or $2.33 per diluted share, compared with $313 million, or $1.46. In its August 27, 2026 press release Autodesk reported non-GAAP EPS of $3.30 and free cash flow, a non-GAAP measure, of $561 million for the quarter. It forecast fiscal 2027 revenue of $8,295 million to $8,345 million, GAAP EPS of $7.89 to $8.72 and non-GAAP EPS of $12.52 to $12.60, an outlook that includes MaintainX (company projections). The release quotes Andrew Anagnost as CEO and Janesh Moorjani as CFO.
On May 28, 2026 Autodesk announced an agreement to acquire MaintainX, which it called a leading modern maintenance and operations solution, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $3.6 billion (Form 8-K). The 10-Q says the acquisition was completed on August 3, 2026 for preliminary purchase consideration of approximately $3.53 billion, net of cash acquired, financed with cash on hand, a 364-day term loan facility and a short-term unsecured commercial paper program. On September 10, 2026 Autodesk reported an offering of $500 million of 5.050% notes due 2029 and $500 million of 5.650% notes due 2033, and said it intends to use the net proceeds, together with cash on hand, to repay $1.0 billion of the term loan (Form 8-K). Earlier, on January 22, 2026, it announced a restructuring plan to eliminate approximately 7% of its workforce, or approximately 1,000 employees (Form 8-K).
