From Akamai Technologies's 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC; its fiscal year ends in December. Each period shows the latest figure the company has reported for it, including restatements. Net margin is our own calculation from those reported figures (net income ÷ revenue); it is left blank where revenue is zero or missing. † Quarter derived from the company's year-to-date or full-year totals. Akamai Technologies's latest reported figures next to the median of the other 75 S&P 500 Information Technology companies and of the other 502 S&P 500 companies; each median is taken over the companies with a comparable figure (counts in the footnote). A median is the middle value, not an average, so one very large company does not move it.

Akamai Technologies: fiscal year ended December 2025, from its 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC. Medians computed October 20, 2026 from each company's latest annual filing (fiscal years ending between July 2025 and September 2026) and our price archive. Prices for every company, Akamai Technologies included, are the last regular-session prices of October 19, 2026; the 1-year change compares that price with each company's last close on or before October 20, 2025. Net margin and price change are our calculations from reported figures. Each median counts only the companies with a comparable figure (sector / S&P 500): revenue growth 75/496, net margin 75/496, 1-year price change 67/490; the reasons below can overlap. 12 are left out of the price figure because our archive holds no comparable close for them. The S&P 500 price figure is the middle company's change, not the index's return.

Akamai Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation based at 145 Broadway, Cambridge, Massachusetts, gives its mission in its annual report for 2025 (Form 10-K) as to power and protect life online. It provides solutions in three core offerings: security, cloud computing and delivery. The 10-K says that as of December 31, 2025 its globally distributed infrastructure included more than 4,300 edge points-of-presence in over 130 countries and approximately 700 cities, and that it had over 11,000 employees located in more than 30 countries. Its fiscal year ends December 31. Its common stock trades on Nasdaq under the symbol AKAM, with 144,888,114 shares outstanding on February 16, 2026 (10-K cover) and 143,716,609 on August 3, 2026 (10-Q cover). The 10-K says it is organized and operates as one operating and reportable segment.
For 2025 the consolidated statements of income report revenue of $4,208,175 thousand, against $3,991,168 thousand in 2024, income from operations of $566,944 thousand, against $533,411 thousand, and net income of $452,031 thousand, or $3.07 per diluted share, against $504,918 thousand, or $3.27, in 2024. By solution category, security revenue was $2,243,404 thousand, delivery $1,256,721 thousand (against $1,318,131 thousand in 2024) and cloud computing $708,050 thousand (10-K, revenue note). The 10-K attributes the increase in security solutions revenue to growth of sales in key products, including its API security, web application and Guardicore segmentation solutions; the decrease in delivery solutions revenue to downward pricing of contract renewals; and the increase in cloud computing solutions revenue to growth in Cloud Infrastructure Services, whose revenue was $313.9 million in 2025 against $230.0 million in 2024. Net cash provided by operating activities was $1,518,765 thousand, and the 10-K says Akamai repurchased 10.0 million shares of its common stock for an aggregate purchase price of $800.0 million in 2025. Remaining performance obligations were $5.2 billion at December 31, 2025, of which Akamai expects to recognize approximately 55% as revenue over the next 12 months.
According to its 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (unaudited), revenue was $1,099,682 thousand, against $1,043,494 thousand a year earlier, and net income was $79,404 thousand, or $0.52 per diluted share, against $103,618 thousand, or $0.71. The 10-Q now reports revenue as Security, Delivery and other cloud applications, and Cloud infrastructure services, and says Akamai reports cloud infrastructure services separately because it recognizes it as a primary growth area and a significant focus of investment. In May 2026 Akamai issued $1,750.0 million of convertible senior notes due 2030 and $1,750.0 million due 2032, and in July 2026 it acquired LayerX Security Ltd. for approximately $205.0 million in cash, subject to post-closing adjustments (10-Q). In its August 6, 2026 release Akamai reported non-GAAP net income per diluted share of $1.59 and adjusted EBITDA of $416 million, both non-GAAP measures, and gave full-year 2026 guidance of revenue of $4,445 million to $4,530 million, a non-GAAP operating margin of 25% to 26% and non-GAAP net income per diluted share of $6.40 to $7.05, on a non-GAAP tax rate of 19% and 150 million shares (company projections). The release quotes Dr. Tom Leighton as Akamai's Chief Executive Officer; F. Thomson Leighton, Chief Executive Officer, and Edward McGowan, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, certified the 10-Q (Exhibits 31.1 and 31.2).
In a Form 8-K filed September 24, 2026, Akamai reported that under a Master Services Agreement dated May 5, 2026, under which it provides Anthropic, PBC with dedicated cloud computing capacity and related managed support services, Anthropic has committed to pay approximately $11.6 billion in the aggregate under the Project Plans, each with an initial seven-year term, subject to termination rights and conditions. Akamai issued Anthropic a warrant to purchase up to 387,051 shares of Series B Non-Voting Convertible Preferred Stock at an exercise price of $2,226.60 per share, vesting in tranches, and the same 8-K reports agreements with Lenovo for hardware, software and related services and a build request authorizing Jabil to purchase approximately $1.7 billion of memory components. In the accompanying press release Akamai estimated total capital expenditures related to the $11.6 billion commitment at approximately $5.5 billion (company estimate).
